3 of expatriate’s family found dead in Cumilla
The incident occurred at Monipur village under Gharamora Union
Police recovered the bodies of a woman and two children with their throats slit in Homna Upazila of Cumilla early yesterday (16 February).
The victims were identified as Papiya Akter Sukhi, wife of Saudi Arabia expatriate Zahirul; their four-year-old son Hossain; and Zubayer, the five-year-old son of Zahirul's brother Sattar, confirmed Homna Police Station OC Morshedul Alam.
The incident occurred at Monipur village under Gharamora Union, he said.
"Police sent the bodies to Cumilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident. Further information will be shared after the investigation," OC Morshedul Alam added.
Locals said unidentified assailants entered the house and killed them with sharp weapons sometime at night, reports UNB.
Family members found the blood-stained bodies in the morning and informed the police.
