Jamaat will accept whatever the results are if election is impartial: Shafiqur
At the same time, others must also accept the outcome, says Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman
Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has said that if the general election is conducted fairly, his party is willing to accept the results.
After casting his vote at Monipur Uchcha Vidyalaya and College this morning (12 February), Shafiqur said that at the same time, others must also accept the outcome.
The next government, he said, will be the government of 180 million people.
Shafiqur also noted that many young voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots for the first time.
Regarding the role of the media, he said that various incidents from last night were presented differently in the news, expressing hope that the media would play a neutral role.
