Jamaat ameer on day-long tour of Cox’s Bazar and Ctg, to address 5 rallies
The day’s activities will culminate in the evening with a grand rally at the Bandar School and College ground.
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman is visiting Cox's Bazar and Chattogram to lead an election campaign, where he is scheduled to address a series of five public rallies as the chief guest.
The Jamaat chief is set begin his tour this morning (2 February), travelling by helicopter from Dhaka to Maheshkhali in Cox's Bazar.
Following the programme in Maheshkhali, Shafiqur is scheduled to travel to Cox's Bazar town, where he is currently scheduled to address another major rally at the Gol Chattar ground.
Upon concluding the programme in the beach town, the Jamaat chief will head to Padua in the Lohagara upazila of Chattogram.
He is set to speak at a public gathering at the Padua High School ground as part of his efforts to mobilise voters in the district's southern constituencies.
In the latter half of the day, the campaign will shift toward Sitakunda, where Shafiqur is expected to address an election rally at the Sitakunda Government High School ground at approximately 4:30pm.
Following that, he will travel by road to Chattogram city for the final leg of his tour.

During this final event, the ameer-e-Jamaat will introduce the party's candidates contesting from various constituencies within the port city.
He is expected to depart for the capital later tonight after completing all five scheduled programmes.
In anticipation of the visit, Jamaat activists and leaders held welcoming processions across different parts of Chattogram city since yesterday. Leaflets were distributed and microphone announcements were made at major intersections to encourage public attendance.
Jamaat leaders noted that senior representatives from 10 other allied parties, alongside local leadership, have been invited to participate in the rallies.
