Akijbashir cables inaugurates 32 new sales centres nationwide
AkijBashir Cables simultaneously inaugurated 32 new sales centres across key regions of the country on 1 February 2026, marking a major expansion of its distribution network.
The inauguration was conducted virtually, making it a first-of-its-kind initiative in Bangladesh's cable industry.
At the event, AkijBashir Cables also introduced three-layer house wiring cables that are heat-resistant up to 105 degrees Celsius, offering enhanced safety and durability for customers.
The virtual inauguration ceremony was attended by Taslim Mohammad Khan, managing director of AkijBashir Group, Mohammod Khourshed Alam, chief operating officer, Dilruba Sharmin Khan, director (human resources), Mohammad Zahid Hossain, director (finance and accounts), and Mohammad Omar Faruke, head of business (cables), along with other senior officials, business partners, dealers and invited guests.
With the launch of the new sales centres, AkijBashir Cables aims to ensure wider access to high-quality, safe electrical cables for customers across the country, including those in remote areas.
Speakers at the event said AkijBashir Group has earned customer trust over the years through the use of modern technology and internationally standardised production processes. Continuing this legacy, AkijBashir Cables has recently commenced its manufacturing and marketing operations, while the expansion of its sales network is expected to strengthen customer service and the dealer ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Mohammod Khourshed Alam said, 'In line with the vision of Digital Bangladesh, inaugurating 32 sales centres through an online platform is an important milestone for us. This initiative will help ensure the supply of safe and high-quality electrical cables across every region of the country.'
AkijBashir Cables is currently producing a wide range of electrical cables using state-of-the-art technology, the company said.
