Samiha Khan appointed director of Daffodil Group
Daffodil Group has appointed Samiha Khan as a director, with effect from 1 February 2026.
The appointment was announced at a ceremony held on 29 January at Daffodil Plaza in Sobhanbagh, Dhaka. The group said the decision recognises her professionalism, efficiency and contributions over the past five years.
At the event, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Group, formally handed over the appointment letter. M R Kabir, Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University, presented her with a certificate of appreciation for leadership and institutional commitment. She also received a special recognition award for her contribution to the group's organisational development and core philosophy.
Before joining Daffodil Group, Samiha Khan worked with several national and international organisations. She served as an intern at Dhaka Tribune in 2014 and later joined the Yunus Centre in 2016, where she worked on social development and policy-related initiatives.
She also worked as a research assistant at Citizens UK in 2017. In 2019, she served as a course ambassador at Middlesex University. From July to November 2020, she held the position of Marketing Director at Keen UCL, and from September 2020 to June 2023, she worked with the Youth Policy Forum as coordinator and network lead of the Environment Policy Network.
During her tenure at Daffodil Group, she has worked with multiple divisions, including Future DIU, brand and communications, the Career Development Centre, international affairs, HRDI, Daffodil International School and Daffodil Computers Limited. Under her leadership, a structured HR software system was introduced, which the group said now supports transparent and modern employee evaluation practices.
Samiha Khan completed her undergraduate degree at Middlesex University and her postgraduate degree at University College London. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University.
Alongside her new role, she will continue to serve as a director of Daffodil Computers PLC.
Daffodil Group said the appointment would strengthen its merit-based leadership development and succession planning framework. Senior officials of the group and the university were present at the ceremony.
