NCC Bank hosts workshop for women employees
NCC Bank PLC recently organised a mental health awareness workshop for its women employees at its head office in Dhaka.
The workshop, titled "Mind Matters: Workplace Mental Health Talk for Women", was organised as part of the bank's efforts to foster an inclusive, supportive and healthy workplace environment.
The session was conducted by BIRDEM General Hospital and Ibrahim Medical College Department of Psychiatry Associate Professor and Head Dr Nasim Jahan.
She delivered a presentation on key aspects of workplace mental health, including stress management, emotional resilience and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Participants were also introduced to internationally recognised mental health assessment tools, including the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale and the Patient Health Questionnaire.
The tools help individuals better understand their mental well-being and support early identification and management of stress, anxiety and depression.
The workshop was moderated by NCC Bank Executive Vice-President and Head of Sustainable and Women's Banking Nighat Mumtaz.
A total of 142 women officials of NCC Bank attended the session, while women employees from branches across the country joined virtually.
Participants appreciated the initiative, describing it as timely and necessary in the context of evolving workplace dynamics, the bank said in a statement.
NCC Bank said it would continue taking initiatives to support employee well-being and promote mental health awareness across the organisation.
