Eastland Insurance wins IDRA Insurance Excellence Award 2025
Eastland Insurance PLC has been awarded the "IDRA Insurance Excellence Award 2025" in the non-life insurance category, introduced for the first time in Bangladesh by the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA).
The award was handed over to Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Salim of Eastland Insurance PLC by Special Assistant to the Finance Adviser Anisuzzaman Chowdhury of the government of Bangladesh on 29 January, 2026 at a ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka. The event was organised by IDRA.
Also present at the ceremony were Secretary Nazma Mobarek of the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, IDRA Chairman Dr M Aslam Alam, and chairmen, vice-chairmen, and chief executive officers of both life and non-life insurance companies.
