A political party carrying out criminal activities nationwide: Nahid
He urged voters to remain cautious against false promises and political misinformation
National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam has alleged that a political party is carrying out criminal activities across the country, calling it a repetition of the Awami League's past "fascist politics."
"They are attacking candidates from the 11-party alliance, trying to capture polling stations. If the one-sided attack continues, the people will respond through the ballot on 12 February," Nahid said while addressing an election rally in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar.
Nahid also accused the party of engaging in "case trade" in the past by filing mass cases in the name of fighting fascism, and now making election-time promises to withdraw those cases.
"They are clearly deceiving the people by luring them with the promise of withdrawing cases," he said.
Describing the upcoming election as historic, Nahid said, "Through this vote, people will decide whether they want fascism or genuine democracy."
He urged voters to remain cautious against false promises and political misinformation.
