Uttara Motors kicks off inter-department football tournament
Uttara Motors Limited has inaugurated its Inter-Department Football Tournament 2026, which began on 24 January, 2026, at Turf Nation in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
The tournament has drawn participation from 12 departments of the company, each fielding a team, reflecting Uttara Motors' emphasis on employee engagement and an inclusive corporate culture.
The opening ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Matiur Rahman, chairman and managing director of Uttara Motors Limited, and Humayun Kabir, director (finance and administration), in the presence of senior management and company officials.

Speaking at the inauguration, Matiur Rahman said sports play an important role in fostering teamwork, discipline and a healthy lifestyle. "This inter-department tournament is not only about competition but also about strengthening bonds among employees and promoting a positive and energetic work environment," he said.

The final match of the Uttara Motors Inter-Department Football Tournament 2026 is scheduled to be held on 5 February, 2026, when the champion team will be decided.
