The global oil and gas sector has a combined market capitalisation of $8.6 trillion across 432 companies, led by Saudi Aramco. As Saudi Arabia's state-owned energy giant, it is the world's largest oil producer, holds the second-largest proven crude oil reserves, and ranks as the ninth most valuable company by market capitalisation.
