Pubali Bank holds 1,500th board meeting
Pubali Bank PLC held its 1,500th meeting of the board of directors on Wednesday, marking a milestone in the bank's corporate governance and leadership journey.
The occasion was commemorated with a cake-cutting ceremony attended by former chairman Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar, along with current board members and senior management.
The meeting was presided over by Chairman of the Board Monzurur Rahman, who also chaired Pubali Bank's first board meeting after its transition to the private sector in January 1985, reflecting continuity in leadership.

Board members present included Habibur Rahman, Rumana Sharif, Azizur Rahman, Rana Laila Hafiz, Arif Ahmed Choudhury, Shahinuzzaman Yaqub, independent directors Dr Shahdeen Malik and Mohammad Naushad Ali Chowdhury, and alternate director Nadir Ahmed.
Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Ali also attended the meeting.
Among others present were Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Esha, General Manager and Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Liton Mia, General Manager and Company Secretary Md Anisur Rahman, and General Manager and Chief Protocol Officer of Pubali Bank Securities Limited Md Shah Alam.
