Who has the upper hand in the second phase of voting in West Bengal?
The second phase of voting for the West Bengal assembly elections began today. A record 92 percent voter turnout was recorded in the first phase. Discussions are underway on whether that record will be broken this time. However, all eyes are on the 142 seats in South Bengal. This phase of voting will largely determine the political fate of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.
