BNP, Jamaat, NCP and others mourn Osman Hadi's death
Inqilab Mancha confirmed Hadi’s death in a Facebook post, days after he was critically injured in a gun attack on 12 December.
Political parties and organisations across the spectrum have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, who succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital on Wednesday (18 December).

BNP Acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman said he was "deeply saddened and heartbroken" by the killing, describing it as a stark reminder of the human cost of political violence.
"Hadi was a brave political activist and a fearless voice against injustice. After the July mass uprising, he played a crucial role in defending democratic values and national interests," Tarique wrote on Facebook, calling for a swift and impartial investigation to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death.
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman also expressed profound grief, calling Hadi a courageous July fighter and a principled patriot who never compromised with injustice.
In a condolence message, he said, "The nation has lost a fearless voice and an idealistic warrior. Hadi dreamed of building a just, humane Bangladesh based on truth and fairness. His contribution will be remembered with honour."
He prayed for forgiveness of the deceased's soul and expressed sympathy for Hadi's bereaved family.
National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam, in a Facebook post, termed Hadi one of the key figures of the July Uprising. "Your sacrifice will remain an eternal source of courage and inspiration for the people of post-July Bangladesh," he wrote, vowing to continue the struggle Hadi stood for.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Hadi.
In a condolence message, the President prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
NCP Chief Organiser (northern region) Sarjis Alam, in a Facebook post, called for decisive action over the killing.
"Until the interim government ensures the return of Hadi's killers from India, the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh should remain closed.
Now or never. We are in a war," he wrote.

In a condolence message, he said the nation has lost a courageous voice due to the untimely and tragic death of Hadi.
Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque and its Secretary General issued a joint statement mourning Hadi's death, portraying him as a leading voice against fascism and dominance, and alleging that the attack reflected attempts by defeated forces to silence dissent.
Islami Andolan Bangladesh Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, expressed condolences and demanded that all those involved in the killing – attackers, planners and instigators – be brought to justice without delay.
The Election Commission (EC) has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Sharif Osman Hadi.
Md Ruhul Amin Mallick, Director (Public Relations) and Information Officer of the EC Secretariat, said that the Commission expressed its profound condolences over Hadi's death and conveyed heartfelt sympathy to his family.
Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain today expressed deep sorrow at the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, saying his fearless struggle against injustice will continue to inspire the nation's youth.
In a condolence message, the adviser described Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, as a courageous and committed voice against domination and injustice, whose role will remain a lasting inspiration for young people.
He said the late Sharif Osman Hadi was a fearless fighter for the establishment of justice in society, adding that his untimely death has caused an irreparable loss to the country and society.
