Responsibilities assigned to PM Tarique's 10 advisers

The government today (24 February) distributed responsibilities among 10 advisers to the prime minister, including five with the rank of minister and five with the rank of state minister.

Among the five advisers with the rank of minister, three have been appointed as political advisers. They are Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed.
Md Ismail Jabiullah has been assigned as adviser to the Ministry of Public Administration, while Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir has been given charge of the Ministry of Finance.
The five advisers with the rank of state minister have also been assigned different portfolios.
Humayun Kabir has been appointed adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Brigadier General (retd) Shamsul Islam has been made adviser to the Ministry of Defence.
Zahed Ur Rahman has been assigned as adviser for policy and strategy.
Mahadi Amin has been given responsibility for the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Rehan Asif Asad has been appointed adviser to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
