BNP vows free primary healthcare if elected: Khasru
The BNP senior leader said the previous political ideology is no more. Politics has been changed and the concepts of people have also been changed
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said today (23 November) that BNP will introduce free primary medical services if the party comes to power.
"Everyone's aspiration is very high. We will perform our best if the party (BNP) is voted to power. We have already completed homework on how to create job opportunities for one crore people," he said at a discussion on the 31-point vision of the future state and the context of the health system given by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) organised the event at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU).
Urging the DAB leaders to reach the commitment of BNP regarding the health sector across the country, Amir Khasru said everyone should post it on social platforms, including Facebook.
"Assure the common people and tell them that BNP will introduce free primary medical services for the people across the country if the party comes to power. BNP has already started working according to plan in this regard," he added.
The BNP senior leader said the previous political ideology is no more. Politics has been changed and the concepts of people have also been changed, he added.
Khasru said, "We have to be tolerant. There is no chance of moving away from democracy. Tarique Rahman's future vision for the country must be reached to the people and implemented. Tarique Rahman has a difference with his opponent. He does not want to engage in confrontational politics."
"BNP does not believe in revengeful politics... so, we are showing tolerance for establishing democracy," he added.
He said that people's political awareness has now reached such a level that everyone is looking for, 'What is there for me'. People are now very aware of education, health, employment and security, he added.
And keeping these needs of the people in mind, Amir Khasru said, BNP has announced 31 points for building the next state. All the fundamental reforms of the country are in 31 points. Therefore, all leaders and activists who believe in nationalism should take these 31 points to the doorsteps of the common people, he added.
