6 more die of dengue, 788 Hospitalised in 24 Hours

Bangladesh reported six more deaths from dengue in the 24 hours since yesterday, 8am to this morning (19 November), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During this period, 788 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.
The DGHS Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control Room confirmed the figures in a bulletin issued today.
According to the DGHS statistics, two died in Dhaka North City Corporation, one in Dhaka South City Corporation (DNCC) and three in Rajshahi division.
Of the new hospitalisations, 87 patients were admitted in Barishal division, 108 in Chattogram, 130 in Dhaka division (outside city corporations), 166 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 86 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 66 in Khulna division (outside city corporations), 54 in Mymensingh division (outside city corporations), 88 in Rajshahi division (outside city corporations), and 3 in Sylhet division (outside city corporations).
During the same 24-hour period, 973 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals nationwide. With this, the total number of recoveries this year has reached 84,570.
Since January, a total of 87,712 dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country, while the death toll for the year has climbed to 349.
In 2024, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 hospitalisations and 575 dengue deaths between January and December.
