Petrol bombs hurled at Mohammadpur Preparatory School
Four individuals riding two motorcycles hurled petrol bombs at Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College on Iqbal Road in the capital today (12 November).
No casualties or damage were reported in the incident, which occurred at around 12:05am, Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Rafiqul Ahmed confirmed.
According to police sources, the assailants arrived on two motorcycles and threw two petrol bombs targeting the school wall before fleeing the scene.
CCTV footage shows the two motorcycles circling once before stopping in front of the school.
The riders of both motorcycles wore helmets, while the two passengers had masks and caps on.
One of them got off a bike, lit two petrol bombs and threw them at the school before quickly escaping.
The capital, as well as nearby areas, has witnessed a series of crude bomb and arson attacks in the last few days, raising concerns over security despite heightened law enforcement measures ahead of the banned Awami League's "lockdown" programme tomorrow (13 November).
