Akij Board, part of AkijBashir Group, has been manufacturing engineered panel boards in Bangladesh since 2001. Its main factory is located on 67 acres at the Akij Economic Zone in Raymoni, Trishal, Mymensingh, with another plant in Tora, Ghior, Manikganj. The company's corporate head office is at Simpletree Lighthouse on Kemal Ataturk Avenue in Banani, Dhaka.
The company uses German Siempelkamp Generation 8 ContiRoll® Press technology to manufacture its boards. With a total production capacity of 1,950 cubic metres a day, Akij Board has the largest panel board production capacity in Bangladesh and one of the largest in South Asia. The company employs around 1,700 people across its operations.
