Biplob Rozario was arrested from the Diabari area of Uttara around 3:15pm on 20 October, according to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

A Dhaka court has granted a two-day remand for Biplob Rozario, 40, who was arrested in connection with the rape of a former Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) student in Savar.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Victoria Chakma passed the order today (21 October).
The case's investigation officer, Sub-Inspector Md Abdul Wahab of Savar Model Police Station, produced the accused before the court with a seven-day remand plea, according to court sources.
In the remand petition, police stated that the accused had confessed to being involved in the incident and assisted another accused, Sohel Rozario, in raping the victim. While Sohel allegedly raped the victim at his residence, Biplob and another accused, Mithu Biswas, stood guard outside the house.
Police also said the accused threatened the victim not to disclose the incident to anyone and provided partial information during interrogation while withholding key details. Police said remand was necessary to uncover the full circumstances of the crime.
Biplob Rozario was arrested from the Diabari area of Uttara around 3:15pm on 20 October, according to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
Earlier, co-accused Mithu Biswas was placed on a two-day remand on 19 October, while the prime accused, Sohel Rozario, was remanded for three days on 20 October.
According to the case statement, on the evening of 14 October, the 25-year-old victim, a former BUP student, returned to her Savar residence after giving private tuition, only to find the door locked.
She later learned that her mother had left the key with a nearby tea stall. After collecting the key and heading home, the victim was approached by Sohel Rozario, who started questioning her.
Shortly afterwards, Sohel met the two other accused, and together they followed her.
At around 7pm, Sohel allegedly forced the woman into his house, where he raped her, while the other two assisted him. The case statement further said that Sohel threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident.
The victim filed a case on Thursday night (16 October) under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act against the three men at Savar Model Police Station.
Sohel has been accused of raping the girl, while Mithu and Biplob allegedly assisted in the crime.
