Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus today (22 October) assured Jamaat-e-Islami and National Citizen Party (NCP) leaders that he will personally supervise any administrative reshuffle prior to the upcoming general elections.
During separate meetings with the parties, the chief adviser emphasised that all necessary measures will be taken in coordination with the Election Commission to ensure a neutral and fair electoral process, according to the chief adviser's press wing.

The NCP and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders met with the chief adviser at the state guest house Jamuna to discuss preparations for the elections, implementation of the July Charter, referendum, and the roadmap for the trial of the July killings.
He also urged the cooperation of all active political parties to ensure peaceful and festive elections.
"You can be assured of our neutrality. We have already taken steps to organise a free, fair, and impartial election, and you will see more initiatives in the coming days," the chief adviser told the Jamaat delegation.

A four-member NCP delegation led by its Convener Nahid Islam attended the meeting. Other members included Sarjis Alam, chief organiser for the northern region; senior joint convener Samantha Sharmin; and joint convener Khaled Saifullah.
The Jamaat delegation was led by Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Taher and included Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General ATM Masum, and Rafiqul Islam Khan.
During the meeting, Nahid Islam emphasised the need for a roadmap for the July killing trials and the implementation of the July Charter before the elections.
The chief adviser urged the NCP to sign the July Charter, calling it "a valuable asset for the nation" and stressing the importance of broad participation.
He also assured the party that the National Consensus Commission is working on the method for implementing the charter.
Immediately after, the Jamaat delegation met with the chief adviser, calling for a referendum on the July Charter before the national elections.
"The referendum should be held before the elections because many provisions of the July Charter relate directly to the electoral process," Jamaat leader Taher said at the meeting.
He added that holding the referendum on the same day as the elections could prolong the voting process.
Jamaat leaders expressed full confidence in the chief adviser's decisions regarding the impartiality of the election administration, said the release.
