Supreme Court orders all courts to regularly update online case lists
To modernise the judiciary and make judicial services more accessible, the Supreme Court issued the directive

The Supreme Court administration has issued a special circular instructing all concerned to regularly and properly update the daily case lists (cause lists) of courts across the country on the online system.
Although the government had introduced the online cause list system long ago – allowing access to up-to-date information such as case dates, hearing details, and verdicts or orders through the website and app by searching case numbers – the system is not being updated daily in many district courts.
In this context, to modernise the judiciary and make judicial services more accessible, the Supreme Court issued the directive. The circular was published on the Supreme Court website today (7 October) under the order of the chief justice.
According to the circular signed by Supreme Court Registrar General Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddiqui, it has recently come to the notice of the High Court Division that although the online cause list system has been fully developed, many district courts are not updating it daily. As a result, litigants are being forced to visit courts in person to obtain case-related information, facing various difficulties in accessing judicial services. To ensure that the benefits of judicial digitalisation reach litigants, it is essential to keep the online cause list system updated regularly.
The circular further noted that despite earlier directives to all courts to regularly update the online cause list system to modernise the judiciary and simplify services, the instructions are not being properly followed. Therefore, all concerned have been specially instructed once again to regularly and properly update the online cause list system in all courts across the country.
