A delegation led by Ambassador Luljim Plana, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on SM Ferdous Alam, Director General of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), on Monday.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the activities and operational methods of their respective national standards bodies, emphasising the vital role of standards institutions in ensuring the quality of products and services.
The discussions also focused on strengthening trade relations between Bangladesh and Kosovo, particularly through mutual recognition of quality certificates and enhanced cooperation in standard-setting processes. Both sides expressed optimism that such collaboration would facilitate and accelerate bilateral trade in the years ahead.
The Director General of BSTI thanked the Ambassador for the visit and outlined BSTI's ongoing initiatives in standards development, metrology, and laboratory modernisation.
