Jamaat acts as branch of foreign party, not independent: Rizvi
“There is no wall of religion there. Sheikh Hasina created divisions for power. But among us, there is no division. This is the beauty of Bangladesh. All religions are working together, and that is why all conspiracies are being foiled,” said Rizvi.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is not an independent political party, rather works as a branch of another country's party.
"The Islamist party has lost its balance in its bid to come to power. Where BNP does not need to change anything. Its identity is the people of this country," he told journalists after visiting the capital's Ramna Kali Temple today (28 September).
Rizvi extended BNP's greetings to members of the Hindu community, saying, "When one community lives alongside others, its major festivals become festivals for all. Festivals never divide, they bring messages of harmony among people. On such occasions, we exchange greetings with one another."
Mentioning religion may differ, but national identity is one, the BNP leader said Rabindranath, Nazrul, and Lalon belong to all.
"There is no wall of religion there. Sheikh Hasina created divisions for power. But among us, there is no division. This is the beauty of Bangladesh. All religions are working together, and that is why all conspiracies are being foiled," Rizvi added.
He also alleged that conspiracies are still ongoing, with attempts being made to create unrest in remote areas.
"They are trying to exploit the Puja period. These are not isolated incidents. A certain quarter has long been giving such support," he claimed.
Rizvi warned, "If anyone casts an evil eye on even one inch of our land, their eyes will be gouged out. There is no Hindu-Muslim divide in this country. The food, clothing, and thoughts of the people here are the same."
