Mercantile Bank signs service agreement with BHBFC

Mercantile Bank PLC has signed a customer service agreement with Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) to provide services under the Rural and Peri-Urban Housing Finance Project (2nd Phase) through its Islami banking wing, Taqwa.
The agreement was signed on 21 September at the bank's head office by Md Zakir Hossain, deputy managing director of Mercantile Bank, and Mohammed Nazrul Islam, deputy general manager and project director of BHBFC.
Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of Mercantile Bank, and Md Abdul Mannan, managing director of BHBFC, were present at the ceremony.
Also attending were Mercantile Bank's deputy managing directors Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha and Dr Md Zahid Hossain; chief financial officer Dr Tapash Chandra Paul; senior executive vice-presidents Shah Md Sohel Khurshid, Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan and Md Abdul Halim. From BHBFC, deputy managing director Md Noor Alam Sardar, general managers Md Tofayel Ahmed, Md Khairul Islam, Z M Hafizur Rahman, Nipu Rani Mitro and Md Zahirul Haque, along with other senior officials of both organisations, were present.
