Two members of Parbatya Chattogram Jana Samhati Samity (MN)  Larma were shot dead at Nobochhara in Rangamati's Baghaichhari upazila last night.

The deceased were identified as Ripel Chakma, 25, and Barshan Chakma, 24.

Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge of Baghaichhari Police Station MA Manjur said: "A group of armed men on Tuesday night abducted them after receiving complaint that the Ripel and Barshan were working for Jana Samhati Samity MN Larma."

Later, the armed men shot them, killing both on the spot, according to locals.

The gunfight took place in a remote area which is far from the police station. Police can provide further information after visiting the spot, the OC said.
