AUST students learn networking skills at career seminar
To foster essential career skills, the Civil Engineering Department at AUST hosted a seminar on networking and relationship management in the VC Seminar Room, organized by Pratyoyik 47.
Professor Dr Shahid Mamun, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, inaugurated the event and emphasized that networking complements academic achievement vitally.
Md Shamim Mahfuz Snigdho, Relationship Manager of Corporate Banking at Dhaka Bank PLC, delivered the keynote address. He emphasised the importance of networking, emotional intelligence, and mentorship in career development, and provided students with practical advice on effective communication and relationship-building.
Students actively engaged in the interactive session, which concluded with a vote of thanks and a token of appreciation for the speaker. Senior AUST officials, including Treasurer Dr Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Registrar (in charge) Dr Mahmudur Rahman, and Dean of Engineering Dr Abdul Matin, also attended.
