Syed Zulkar Nayen joins Bank Asia as Deputy Managing Director
Mr. Syed Zulkar Nayen joined Bank Asia PLC as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking on 7 August 2025. With over 24 years of distinguished experience in leading local and multinational banks, Mr. Nayen has a proven track record of driving growth, fostering innovation, and delivering customer-centric transformation.
He began his career at HSBC Bangladesh in 2001 before moving to Eastern Bank PLC in 2007, where he advanced to Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business in Retail and SME Banking. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in expanding distribution networks, enhancing retail business performance, and building inclusive financial ecosystems.
Mr. Nayen holds a postgraduate degree in Management, a professional certification from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), and has completed numerous advanced training programmes while participating in global industry forums.
