Bank Asia launches entrepreneurship programme in Sylhet
Bank Asia PLC, in association with Bangladesh Bank, has organised a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme for small and medium-sized enterprise entrepreneurs in Sylhet.
The programme was inaugurated on 12 January 2026 by Khaled Ahmed, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank (Sylhet Office), who attended as the chief guest.
Md Nazrul Islam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Programme Director of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, and Mohammad Saifuddowla, Head of Small Business of Bank Asia, were present as special guests. Md Nazmus Sakib, Zonal Head (Sylhet and East Zone) of Bank Asia, presided over the inaugural session.

The training programme has been designed to equip new entrepreneurs with essential business skills, enabling them to contribute to national economic growth through increased entrepreneurship, and employment generation.
The initiative is funded by the Asian Development Bank, and implemented under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme of the Finance Department, Ministry of Finance.
