TCB to begin mobile truck sales of essentials from tomorrow
Each truck will serve around 500 customers daily, selling soybean oil, sugar, and lentils at affordable prices to all consumers.

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling essential commodities in the capital and some other places from tomorrow (10 August).
This programme will continue alongside its regular sales to smart family cardholders at subsidised rates.
The sales programme will continue in Dhaka through 60 trucks from 10 August to 13 September, excluding Fridays, according to a TCB press release.
Similar mobile truck sales will also run in Chattogram city (25 trucks), Gazipur city (6), Cumilla city (3), Dhaka district (8), Cumilla district (12), Faridpur district (4), Patuakhali district (5) and Bagerhat district (5) from August 10 to August 31, also excluding Fridays.

Under the programme, two litres of soybean oil will be sold at Tk230, one kg of sugar at Tk80, and two kg of lentils at Tk140.
Sales prices for smart family cardholders will remain unchanged, it said.
