Tarique hopes upcoming polls will build democratic Bangladesh
He holds meeting with like-minded parties

BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman expressed optimism today (8 August) that the upcoming parliamentary election would open the door to establishing a democratic and welfare-oriented Bangladesh through the people's mandate.
He made the remarks during a meeting with leaders of the 12-Party Alliance, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), and Bangladesh Labour Party. The meeting was held at 4pm at the BNP Chairperson's Office in Gulshan.

Speaking virtually, Tarique highlighted the role of unity and sustained struggle, including the recent July uprising, in achieving what he termed "the fall of Awami fascism."
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other party leaders also attended the gathering, underscoring the coalition's resolve ahead of the forthcoming polls.
