How Islamic banks compare to all banks in Bangladesh

As of March 2025, Bangladesh's Islamic banking sector comprised 10 fully operational Islamic banks with a network of 1,699 branches, alongside 37 Islamic banking branches operated by 17 conventional commercial banks. Total deposits within the Islamic banking system reached Tk4.43 lakh crore in March 2025, reflecting a 0.73% increase from Tk4.40 lakh crore recorded in December 2024.
