JMI group’s LPG entities go live with SAP ERP system

JMI Group's LPG sector entities have gone live with SAP ERP software, marking a key step in their digital transformation.
Md Abdur Razzaq, founder and managing director of JMI Group, announced the SAP Go-Live at a ceremony he attended as chief guest on Wednesday, 6 August 2025, at the group's headquarters in Dhaka.
The implementation of SAP – a world-class enterprise resource planning (ERP) system – aims to streamline daily operations, enhance interdepartmental coordination, enable real-time data analysis, and strengthen procurement, inventory, and customer relationship management processes across the LPG-related entities of the group.
Md Zahangir Alam, Chief Financial Officer, served as the project director for the SAP ERP rollout.
Speaking at the event, Md Abdur Razzaq said, "Implementing SAP ERP in our LPG sector companies shows our commitment to innovation and digital progress. This system is an investment for the next generation."
He added, "Nearly a decade ago, we tried to introduce SAP ERP at JMI Group but faced challenges. Today, we celebrate a milestone and hope to expand this system to all entities soon."
JMI Group Chairman Md Jabed Iqbal Pathan, CFO and SAP ERP project director Md Zahangir Alam, Executive Director of JMI Industrial Gas Ltd Mir Saifullah-Al-Khaled, Project Manager (PwC) Ankit Singh, Project Manager (JMI LPG) Abu Ahmed Serajur Rahman, along with senior officials of JMI Industrial Gas, JMI LPG, JMI Cylinders, and other group entities, also attended the ceremony.
Employees of PwC, the project's implementation partner, joined the event virtually.
