3 sent to jail over attempted mob attack at Motijheel Police Station
The accused, Mohsin Reza, 45, Rimon Khan, 21, and Raihan Khan, 22, were arrested last night for their involvement in the incident.

A Dhaka court today (31 July) sent three individuals to jail in connection with a case filed over an attempted mob attack and obstruction of police duty at the capital's Motijheel Police Station yesterday.
Metropolitan Magistrate Atikur Rahman issued the order after a hearing, according to court sources.
The accused, Mohsin Reza, 45, Rimon Khan, 21, and Raihan Khan, 22, were arrested last night for their involvement in the incident.
The station's Sub-Inspector Abu Saleh Shaheen presented the trio before the court and sought their imprisonment, which was granted by the court.
According to the case statement, yesterday night, the three accused, along with a group of 30-40 others, attempted to unlawfully enter the police station. When on-duty officers tried to stop them, the group pushed through and stormed inside.
The accused barged into the investigation officer's room and began shouting, demanding an explanation for police action against a media outlet named "Daily Banglar Bani."
Additional police forces quickly arrived and managed to detain the three accused, while the others fled the scene.
A case has been filed against them and 30 to 40 unidentified individuals.
During preliminary interrogation, the accused admitted their involvement but withheld information about their accomplices.
Police sources further revealed that the arrested individuals had previously attempted to occupy a residence in Gulshan, an incident covered by multiple news outlets. Authorities suspect the attack on Motijheel Police Station may be linked to that earlier confrontation.
