Education Ministry Adviser Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar today (2 July) asked the authorities concerned, particularly the NCTB, to make sure that error-free textbooks reach students at the beginning of the year.

"We will provide you all necessary assistance to make sure that flawless and accurate test books reach the students," he said as the chief guest at a four-day workshop held at the Abdul Jabbar Auditorium in the NCTB building, Motijheel.

Chairman of the NCTB Robiul Kabir Chowdhury said they are committed to reach quality, error free and time worthy textbooks.

The chairman said that the draft textbooks prepared for the 2026 academic year were presented in the meeting of the National Curriculum Coordination Committee held on 29 May.

More than 40 experienced teachers from across the country participated in the workshop to correct errors in school textbooks -- from sixth to ninth grade students -- in secondary schools across the country.

Some specific recommendations were made from the workshop to make sure that there are no discriminatory, sensitive words, sentences, information, and images on various issues including race, religion, caste, minority ethnic group, gender, and profession in the textbook.
