Bangladesh ‘A’ to take part in Top End T20 series in Australia
Bangladesh’s High Performance (HP) team featured in the previous edition of the tournament alongside Pakistan Shaheens

Bangladesh A have been invited to take part in the 2025 Top End T20 Series, to be held in Darwin, Australia, Northern Territory Cricket announced in a media release on Tuesday.
Bangladesh's High Performance (HP) team featured in the previous edition of the tournament alongside Pakistan Shaheens. This time, alongside the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Cricket Association of Nepal will also participate as an associate nation. In last year's final, Bangladesh were narrowly defeated by the Adelaide Strikers Academy.
The 2023 tournament saw the likes of Tanzid Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Afif Hossain, and Shamim Hossain Patwary representing the Bangladesh HP team.
The opening fixture of the 2025 edition is set for 14 August, with Bangladesh A taking on Pakistan A. "The stand-alone marquee match-up is scheduled as part of local 'Pakistan Independence Day' celebrations," the Northern Territory Cricket statement said.
"We're pleased to be returning to Darwin for the 2025 Top End T20 Series, which has quickly become a key fixture in our calendar. Playing in Australian conditions against strong opposition provides invaluable experience for our emerging players and supports our wider development goals," BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury was quoted as saying.
"Our ongoing partnership with Northern Territory Cricket reflects a shared commitment to fostering strong international ties through cricket. We're especially looking forward to the opening night clash on 14 August and the chance to showcase the next generation of Bangladeshi talent," he added.
