US Republican Senator Joe Wilson announced on Thursday (26 June), the introduction of a bill to the US Congress aimed at designating the Polisario Front as a terrorist organisation.

Wilson, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, shared the news on his account on X, writing, "The Polisario is a Marxist militia backed by Iran, Hezbollah and Russia providing Iran a strategic outpost in Africa and destabilizing the Kingdom of Morocco, a US ally for 248 years.
