Prime Bank honours seven entrepreneurs on world msme day

Prime Bank PLC celebrated World MSME Day 2025 by recognising seven entrepreneur clients from across Bangladesh for their outstanding contributions to the country's micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector.

The recognition was conferred at a special event titled the Entrepreneurs' Conference and Recognition Ceremony, held on June 28 at a hotel in Dhaka. The ceremony brought together over 100 entrepreneur clients, reaffirming Prime Bank's continued commitment to SME development.

From more than 11,500 active SME loan clients, six SME entrepreneurs and one agri-entrepreneur were selected based on multiple criteria, including product diversity, annual turnover, workforce size, banking relationship, gender, and the nature of their business—whether manufacturing, services, or trading.

Naushad Mostafa, Director of SMESPD at Bangladesh Bank, attended as the chief guest. The keynote address was delivered by Md Nazim Hasan Sattar, Deputy Managing Director of SME Foundation. Hassan O. Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank PLC, along with M. Nazeem A. Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director, and other senior bank officials, were also present.

"These businesses are the arteries of our economy," said Hassan O. Rashid. "They generate employment, drive rural development, and form the backbone of a self-reliant Bangladesh. Prime Bank remains dedicated to financing and empowering the MSME sector. This recognition celebrates their innovation, job creation, and contribution to trade and services."

Prime Bank has long played an active role in supporting Bangladesh's MSME sector through customised financial products, capacity-building initiatives and inclusive banking services. The event served not only to honour high-performing entrepreneurs but also to inspire others within the industry.
