One teacher, 19 NU officials sent on retirement

National University held its 269th Syndicate meeting yesterday (21 June) at the university's city office in Dhanmondi, with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Amanullah in the chair.

In this meeting, one teacher and 19 officials of the National University were granted retirement upon completion of 25 years of service.

The provision for granting voluntary retirement after 25 years of service, and for retiring any employee in the interest of the university, was incorporated into the National University's service regulations following amendments approved at the 263rd Syndicate meeting on 3 November 2024, and subsequently endorsed at a special Senate session on 15 December 2024. Based on these provisions, the Syndicate approved the retirement of the aforementioned teacher and officials.
