Hazaribagh factory fire under control

A fire that broke out in a tin-shed factory in the capital's Hazaribagh area in the early hours of today was brought under control.
On receiving information at 1:38am, two fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with four hours of frantic efforts at 5:40am, said duty officer Lima Khanom of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The fire originated in the factory at 135/6, Tannery Goli, Hazaribagh, around 1:38am from an electric short circuit.
The extent of damage caused by the fire is estimated at Tk20lakh, officials say.
No casualties were reported in the fire.
