ACC again summons Tulip over allegations of acquiring flat illegally in Gulshan
Tulip has been asked to appear at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka’s Segunbagicha at 10am on 22 June

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has once again summoned British Labour Party MP Tulip Siddiq, the niece of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, for questioning over allegations of acquiring a flat in the capital's Gulshan illegally.
Tulip has been asked to appear at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka's Segunbagicha at 10am on 22 June, a senior ACC official told The Business Standard today (15 June).
Earlier, in May, the commission had also issued a notice to Siddiq, but she reportedly claimed through various channels that she had not received it.
According to the commission, the summons relates to accusations that Tulip, allegedly using her influence, took unlawful possession of a flat without any payment and later facilitated the official registration of the property.
The flat in question is located at B/201, House No 11A and 11B (previously, 5A and 5B), Road No 71, Gulshan-2.
She allegedly received the flat as illegal remuneration from Eastern Housing Limited, a private entity, and was involved in the official registration process through improper means.
On 15 April, ACC filed a case against Tulip for allegedly accepting the flat without payment.
On 13 April, a Dhaka court issued arrest warrants for former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, Rehana's daughter Tulip Siddiq and 50 other accused in three separate cases filed over alleged abuse of power in acquiring plots from Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) in Purbachal New Town Project, a major urban development project on the outskirts of Dhaka.
Rehana's son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby, and Azmina Siddiq are also among the accused.
