EBL partners with Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions to support Hajj pilgrims
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has joined hands with Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions to provide its customers, particularly Hajj pilgrims, with access to 24/7 essential healthcare services through the 'Shukhee' app, a cutting-edge digital healthcare platform.
An agreement to this effect was signed yesterday at the EBL head office in Dhaka. This initiative marks a first in Bangladesh's banking sector, as EBL will fully sponsor this exclusive subscription service, ensuring peace of mind and critical medical support during one of the most spiritually significant journeys for Muslims.
"This partnership reflects EBL's ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience and contributing meaningfully to the broader healthcare ecosystem in Bangladesh," said Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, CEO, and Mohammad Solaimun Rasel, CTO and CBO of Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions; along with EBL's senior leadership, including Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO; Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director; Riad Mahmud Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Corporate Banking; and Md Jabedul Alam, Head of Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking.
