IPDC Joyee introduces first-ever Day Care Centre at Banker–SME Women Entrepreneur Fair 2025

IPDC Joyee, the women-centric initiative of IPDC Finance PLC, has introduced the country's first temporary Day Care Centre at the Banker–SME Women Entrepreneur Fair 2025, organised by Bangladesh Bank at Bangla Academy from 8 to 11 May.

The fair, an annual flagship event, celebrates the achievements of women-led businesses across Bangladesh and honours outstanding entrepreneurs through the SME Women Entrepreneur Award 2024.

In a pioneering move to support working mothers and foster a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem, IPDC Joyee has partnered with Rainbow Valley Early Childhood Development to launch the Day Care Centre at the event premises. This initiative aims to enable greater participation by providing a secure and engaging environment for children of women entrepreneurs, officials, and visitors attending the fair.

The centre features four thoughtfully designed zones: Apon Bhubon – a joyful and safe play area, Gyaner Bhubon – a vibrant reading corner stocked with storybooks, Swapner Bhubon – a peaceful napping zone for rest and relaxation, Nirapod Bhubon – a private and hygienic space for breastfeeding and diaper changing

In addition, the facility offers the services of trained caregivers and certified child development experts, along with an on-call doctor and nurse for emergency support.

The initiative also received technical support from BRAC Institute of Educational Development (BRAC IED), BRAC University. BRAC IED designed an open-air play area named Bahirer Bhubon, allowing children to enjoy an outdoor experience within a safe setting. Representatives from BRAC IED are also present at the information booth to guide visitors on daycare services and early childhood development training opportunities. BRAC Healthcare is providing on-site medical services to ensure child well-being throughout the event.

To enhance accessibility, IPDC Joyee has introduced the 'Ucchash Package', a dedicated day-care offering tailored benefits for women entrepreneurs, participants, and visitors of the fair.

Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SME & Special Programmes Department, Bangladesh Bank, lauded the initiative, saying, "We greatly appreciate this thoughtful gesture by IPDC Finance. The introduction of a dedicated Day Care Centre is a timely and commendable step towards creating a more supportive environment for women entrepreneurs who are also mothers."

Rizwan Dawood Shams, Managing Director of IPDC Finance PLC, stated, "We believe empowerment begins with empathy. By addressing real-life challenges through thoughtful innovation, such as this Day Care Centre, we hope to make it easier for women to engage meaningfully—in business, in events, and in life."

Zinia Jesmin Karim, Early Childhood Development Specialist and Head of Rainbow Valley, added, "We are honoured to support this initiative by IPDC Joyee. It is a remarkable step towards ensuring that mothers can pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations, knowing their children are in a nurturing and engaging space."

Through this unique endeavour, IPDC Joyee continues to uphold its commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and transformative impact. The public is cordially invited to visit the fair at Bangla Academy, Ramna, from 8 to 11 May.
