Inauguration of Agrani Remit app in Malaysia
Agrani Bank PLC has launched the 'Agrani Remit App' to enable fast, easy, secure, and legal remittance transfers from Malaysia to Bangladesh.
This app sends remittances to any branch of Agrani Bank or other banks in Bangladesh, bKash, and Nagad.
The app was inaugurated on 6 May 2025 by His Excellency Md Shameem Ahsan, the Honourable High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, under the initiative of Agrani Remittance House SDN BHD, a subsidiary company of Agrani Bank based in Malaysia.

Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agrani Bank, and Md Anwarul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of Agrani Bank PLC, were special guests at the inaugural ceremony.
Mohammad Khorshed A Khastagir, Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, Syed Shariful Islam, Counsellor (Labour), Mosammat Shahanara Monica, Minister (Labour), and Sultan Ahmed, CEO and Director of Agrani Remittance House SDN BHD, Tareq Uddin, Executive Director, dotlines, along with officials from both countries and members of the Bangladeshi expatriate community, were also present.
The app is scheduled to be officially launched for valued customers in the first week of June.
