ISU holds launching ceremony of scholarly research journals
The Journal of Business and Development Studies, vol: 03, Issue: 01, and the Journal of Engineering and Technology, Vol: 01, Issue: 01, were launched yesterday at the International Standard University (ISU) campus.
ISU Honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan was the Chief Guest.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan emphasised the importance of publishing scholarly research articles to enhance academic and professional impact nationally and internationally. He underscored the need for continued efforts by faculty members toward academic publication. Abul Kashem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, stressed the importance of disseminating published research outcomes among teachers, students, and other stakeholders to maximise impact.
Mahbubur Rahman, Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Research, Development, and Publications, highlighted that all articles published in these journals have been assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIS), and the journals are now indexed in Openaire, a prominent European database for scholarly research. Furthermore, he mentioned that obtaining Scopus indexing for all journals is underway and expected to be completed shortly.
Other Speakers also described the significance of journals for students studying in Bangladesh and worldwide. People from all over the world can enrich themselves by reading these journals online.

Special guests included Treasurer Professor H T M Quader Newaz, Professor Dr Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, and Professor Md. Abul Kashem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, also enlightened the programme.
