A meeting was held between Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani and Bangladesh's Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman in Doha today (4 May). 

The meeting focused on matters of shared interest and exploring avenues for enhancing and developing bilateral ties, reports Qatar Tribune.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces HE Lt Gen (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, and other senior officials and officers from both sides.

The Bangladesh army chief is now on an official visit to Qatar. He is scheduled to return to Bangladesh tomorrow (5 May).
