Popular Life MD and CEO BM Yusuf Ali named 'Insurance Personality of the Year'

BM Yusuf Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Popular Life Insurance Company Limited, has been awarded the title of "Insurance Personality of the Year" at the Arthakantha Business Excellence Award 2025 in recognition of his exceptional leadership and enduring contributions to the country's insurance sector.

The award ceremony, held at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka, marked the 25th anniversary of the weekly Arthakantha newspaper. The event celebrated the achievements of 20 distinguished business leaders whose efforts have significantly advanced Bangladesh's economic landscape.

Fayez Ahmad Tayyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, attended the event as the chief guest. Andre Kustermans, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bangladesh, and Marie Masdupuy, Ambassador of France, were present as special guests. The ceremony was presided over by Enamul Haque Enam, Founder and Editor of Arthakantha.

BM Yusuf Ali was honoured for his visionary role in strengthening the insurance industry through the sustained growth and innovation led by Popular Life Insurance. His stewardship has helped instil greater public trust in insurance services and has set new benchmarks in the sector.
