Strong relations with neighbours help settle unresolved issues: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said if relations with the neighbouring countries are friendly and strong, mutual development and unresolved issues can be settled easily.
"Bangladesh-India relations are now warmer, amicable and development-oriented than ever before," he said.
The minister said this at a briefing after Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das paid a courtesy call on him at his Secretariat office in Dhaka on Tuesday, reads a press release.

Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, said the friendship between India and Bangladesh has passed the test and is bound by blood in 1971.
The minister said in the meeting, they talked about the progress of road infrastructure development projects being implemented under the Indian Loan Programme to increase the capacity of public transportation.
He said the bridge between the two countries is being upgraded day by day.
Quader thanked Riva for her cooperation in taking forward the road infrastructure development projects.
