BCB security officer Ikram Chowdhury dies of heart attack at Sylhet stadium

Ikram Chowdhury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) security liaison officer at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, tragically passed away on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack while on duty during the fourth day of the opening Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

The venue manager at Sylhet, Joydeep Das, confirmed the news to the media. "He was at the stadium when he suffered a massive heart attack in the morning. We rushed him to Al Haramain Hospital immediately. He was taken to the CCU and later moved to the ICU. He was placed on life support, but the attack was too severe and he could not be saved," Joydeep stated.

Ikram had been serving in his role as security liaison officer for the BCB at the Sylhet venue since 2014. His sudden passing has deeply saddened colleagues and staff members who had worked closely with him over the years.
