Praava Health honours laboratory professionals on World Laboratory Day

Every year on 23 April, World Laboratory Day is observed globally to recognise the crucial contributions of laboratory professionals to the field of modern medicine. From diagnosing illnesses to guiding treatment and shaping preventive strategies, laboratories form the backbone of effective healthcare.

On this occasion, Praava Health expressed heartfelt gratitude to laboratory specialists, pathologists, biochemists, microbiologists, and support staff across the country for their commitment to precision, confidentiality, and professionalism in safeguarding patient well-being.

"At Praava Health, we remain dedicated to strengthening healthcare through high-quality laboratory services," the organisation said in a statement. "Our network includes seven state-of-the-art laboratories, including Bangladesh's first molecular cancer diagnostics lab. All our facilities are internationally accredited under ISO 15189:2012 and certified by the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB)."

Praava also noted that its labs consistently achieve a 99.9% monthly accuracy score through participation in the Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS), underscoring its commitment to global standards of excellence.

Despite these strides, the statement also pointed to an urgent national need for more quality-accredited laboratories. Challenges such as a shortage of skilled professionals and inadequate infrastructure persist, requiring greater investment, technology, and training.

On World Laboratory Day 2025, Praava Health extended its deep appreciation to all laboratory professionals, acknowledging their integrity, expertise, and dedication to building a healthier Bangladesh.
