NCP leader Gazi Salauddin relieved over graft allegations
The National Citizen Party (NCP) has relieved Gazi Salauddin Tanveer from the party's joint member secretary post over his alleged involvement in illegal interference in appointments of deputy commissioners and commission deals in printing NCTB textbooks.
A notice signed by NCP joint member secretary Saleh Ussin Sifat made the announcement today (21 April).
The notice also issued a show-cause to Salauddin, asking him to explain why he should not be expelled from the party permanently.
He has been asked to submit the explanation to the head of the party's disciplinary committee within seven days.
